Commercial Photography | Laurie Solet Boutique

A few weeks ago, I shot a commercial job for Laurie Solet Boutique – for their Spring newsletter. It was fun doing commercial work. Products don’t fidget and models know how to work it. I could get used to that. I didn’t have to do the retouch work, and since I passed it all off to their designer, this week I finally got a chance to pick a few of my favorites to retouch for my portfolio.

Avery, our model was great to work with. She had legs for miles – which meant, I had to get up on the step ladder a few times. It was a great experience for me. And, being able to introduce a little of what I saw and learned from this shoot into my high school senior sessions will be great.

Oh, and the products were cute, too. I had my eye on a certain handbag – but Laurie made sure I didn’t hide it from her before she left. I was a joy working with this team. Beautiful Location | St. Louis Portrait Photographer

Last night, I met up with Julie & Chris for an e-session at Longview Farm Park on Clayton Road in Town & Country. I have photographed Traci Branscum there before. I loved it then, and I loved it now. It’s a little too shady so not a lot of light comes in, but we managed to find a few good spots. This post isn’t really their sneak peek as much as it is for me to recommend this cute little park. It’s not super big, so it’s easy to do a few outfit changes in the restroom if you’re looking for a few looks with your sessions.

And, we may just see…

Yep – a deer! That’s a beautiful buck! To let you know how close we were to it, I’m only using my 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens on this shot and have it at the 70 mm focal length. I wish I had time to put my 70-200 on for this shot, but he started to walk away.

Longview Farm has the stables (shown on the left) with a lot of horses. They were all put away by the time we came back to the front of the park though. It’s really such a pretty place. Stay tuned for peeks from this session later!

St. Louis Children’s Photographer | Brady (6 Months)

Oh, remember this cutie pie?

Brady is 6 months old now. Danielle was back in town with Brady and this time we had fun at his grandpa and grandma’s house! Brady is one of the happiest babies that I have ever met. Most people know, that for me, photographing kids is really hit or miss. They either love me or hate me. It’s a weird connection that I don’t always have. I admit it. There, you know my secret! But, with Brady, this kid, well, he just emotes adorable. Like, couldn’t you just eat him up?

omg-really

That’s just a taste of his sugary sweet smile!

Well, here’s the slideshow for the 6-month photos I did last week. I’m really trying to stay on top of my game because of my travel and busy schedule this summer. This speed is soooo not normal for me! ENJOY!
