I’ve Been Awake

I’ve been awake since around 3:30. Had to pee and couldn’t go back to sleep. I read like five more chapters of Eclipse. It’s now 6 a.m. and here I am checking email. Feeling better. Somewhat.

My stomach is still *grumbling* – but that’s about it. I’m beginning to think it might be something I ate the night before. Not fun…no, not at all! I had to miss my aunt and uncle’s garage sale yesterday. I was supposed to get up and go help them, but that wasn’t happening. So, they have it again this Saturday and we’ll be heading over. We have a few things to put in the sale and then if they don’t sell, putting them on Craig’s List. One is Jake’s futon. It has one spring piece missing that can easily be replaced. It’s a pretty nice one. It’s just taking up room in our family room since he can’t use it right now either. We’ve planning on switching our front and back rooms out. This way, the front room is always clean and orderly should company just *pop* by.

The other things we have are an unfinished dollhouse. We had someone interested on Craig’s List before and she never showed up to get it. Possibly a BMX style bike. If you live in STL and want anything like those, let me know! You only have a day to nab them!

My grams comes to town this Friday. Which means, she’ll be here through Monday morning. We’re planning on spending time with her and working on the two rooms we’re switching out. We have GOT to get the floors finished in this house. It’s like a working construction zone here all the time! Raquita has cancelled this weekend’s boudoir event due to lack of participation which works for me considering I am entertaining grams and the garage sale this Saturday now. It’s her birthday – though I don’t know how old she is. I should ask her, huh?

As the fall approaches, I’m going to start getting my calendar prepared for fall dog photography sessions. In fact, I’m considering doing a “day in the park” event. Where you pay a smaller fee for about 15 minutes with me. I figure a park might work better than doing it at a local vet’s office or something. More space. I need to put that together! If interested, I’d love to hear from you.

As I opt to go catch up on a few other things before I clean part of the house before Gram’s comes tomorrow, I thought I’d share this funny with you:

Good Sunday Morning to You!

So, it’s Sunday, and I’m blogging – again – on the weekend!

Can you believe it?

Me either!

Got up early and just showered.

Going to go pick up that router at Best Buy today.

Hope to get rid of all the wires and maybe organize the office some better! (Oh and tacks too)

Yesterday, I spent a TON of time on Flickr and deleted so much OLD stuff from my account.

I have been a member since December 25, 2005 and I just had a ton of old blog junk and layouts and pictures there that weren’t really “me” and it was just looking junky.

I used to always use it for my blog images, but not anymore. Well, I have most of the March ones still there, but from now on I intend to just host those myself here on the server.

So, old images on the blog are gone…sorry if you wanted to go back a bit in the archives and view those.

Eventually I’ll get all of the March ones phased out – I might be able to replace most of those since I still have the originals saved in the blog viewing format. We’ll see. When time permits.

Had a blast shooting yesterday and talked to Andie a ton on email back and forth about doing a photography road trip. Inspiring.

I like shooting when it’s just for me – no pressure.

I ran out yesterday after one of our storms and took some more quick shots of the tulips with waterdrops. Yum.

Also, been working on an update to my photography website…since I’m on portraiture hiatus (well, for any new people really). Hopefully I can share that with you soon too.

Hope to do a blog look update tonight. I think I want something “different”. We’ll see.

Have a great Sunday!

I didn’t blog today…

….at least not until now. Was pretty busy. I got into this creative illustration mode last night and couldn’t stop! I made some cute Sugar Chicks that are now available in the boutique at My Digital Muse.

Here I am. Of course, more customized to me. It’s cool because you can just buy one pack to do pretty much anything to make it look like you. You buy the one that matches your skin tone and you get all the eye, eyebrow colors, lips and a couple of tshirts. I even threw in some glasses and jewelry. Just $6.99 in the boutique.

Here’s a few of the hairstyles. You get a front and back piece so you can mix and match – since I made this I have a shorter do and curly hair in there.

Pick them up here.

I think I may offer some custom services for them but it will cost probably about $15 to do something custom…and it will depend on what it is and if I can even do it with my schedule. Just keep that in mind though!

So, that bulletin board was SOOOO easy. I went to Goodwill and bought an old sofa picture. I took out the picture, but held on to it because it made it easier to tack down the cork. Then, I spray painted the frame and took some sandpaper and roughed up the edges some (shabby ya know). Then, I found this cork board stuff on a roll at Hobby Lobby. It was the PERFECT size for the height of the frame. I just went ahead and used a staple gun to staple down the cork to the old painting all around, pulling it taute. Then, I inserted the cork back into the frame and pushed the metal prongs that were holding it in back down. VOILA!

Now, I need to run because I am starving for dinner.

Have a great weekend and I’ll do my best to post this time!

Oh – and if you do buy a Sugar Chick – be sure to come back here and download this! It’s a free Easter expansion (tshirts, caps, and headbands – girl not included).

It’s up! Finally! The Goodwill frame that I bought and painted and roughed up and then added cork to. It’s big and I LOVE IT! Now, I am going to make some cute tacks with buttons – I gotta go buy the flat ones first though. I had to share that mid-day update with ya!

P.S. Isn’t Chazz Michael Michaels HOT? AHAHAHAAHAHAHA

HA HA! I started my morning off with a little MySpace quiz (that site and their teeny bopper quizzes make me giggle). And, this one was “Who’s Your Celebrity Twin?” – and guess what? None other than Gwen Stefani!!!!!

Not on looks mind you! HA HA I wish! Just on personality and what she does. I so love her style and what’s she is doing out there – and she’s a sweet and honest person! Love it!

Whose Your Celeb Twin?(pics)

Gwen Stefani
Your twin is Gwen Stefani!!! What can i say you are a fashion icon! Everyone comes to who when it comes to fashion and makeup. You make everything your own and never follow trends. When walking through the halls everyone wishes they can have the same wicked style as you. Your personality is fun and outgoing. You sure know how to make even the most boring situations into the most fun and adventurous ones.

Plus, did you see her on AI last night? LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Okay, let’s talk AI for a moment. I think that Chris is an amazing singer, he had a bad week – we can all agree to that. That song by the Police, tough, but his voice is good. He’s funny and honest. The bottom three, I think all three are way better sings than a certain person on there. And, this site, Vote for the Worst, is going to ruin this show. I mean, there’s always one that goes through a couple weeks that shouldn’t be there but then they drop. Now, real, honest, serious singers aren’t going through further. It’s getting old and I don’t even get worried or anxious to find out who leaves now because I know this person isn’t leaving. It sorta takes the fun out of it. If he were gone, then it would be a real competition. I feel bad for everyone else. It’s just a bad joke that won’t end. AI will end up making it a judges only vote – or they are seriously going to have to limit how many votes you call in. Doesn’t Dancing with the Stars do that? How hard is it? Huh? Still rooting for Blake!

Okay, enough of all that. I have GREAT GREAT GREAT NEWS!!!!!

MEGAN IS OUT OF PICU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn’t that awesome????? It makes me smile! Such an amazing family. I’m so happy that they got over the long hump and now are at the next step. Getting her even more better so she can go home one day. My grandpa emailed me this morning to say that there was an article in today’s newspaper about Megan, but I haven’t seen it. Your thoughts and prayers are really doing miracles! Please continue to keep her in your thoughts. Go wish her good luck on the next step and there is a picture on the home page of the Caring Bridge journal of Megan with the living donor from the first transplant.

We mowed the grass yesterday for the first time this year. WOW, it so needed it. I can’t believe how fast things have greened up and are growing. I had forgotten how to use the riding mower, but it was like riding a bike. I picked it back up. Then, we ran out of gas. LOL So, had to make a run to Lowe’s for a new gas can and some gas. I bought some more tulips. We got a new mailbox while we were there. The one we have now isn’t metal or aluminum or whatever. It’s a plastic and the door won’t stay closed. So, as you drive down the street, there’s our mailbox wide open! Now to find time to replace it. Finally finished mowing the field and the backyard and it looks much better. With the rain we keep having we’re going to have to move to twice a week on mowing!

I finally just hooked my printer up to my laptop last night. I had CDs to print on so I had to. I haven’t bought a router yet. I am trying to just get prepared to drop that money. Yuck, but a big purchase does help with taxes so just do it, right?

I need to get some stuff in the mail today, so I better jump on it. Talk to you all later and have a GREAT day!
