Olivia | Valentine Session Peek

Olivia and her brother came into the studio for an extended Valentine Session last night – extended just means we needed some more photos than what my mini session allows for. And I tell ya, these kids! When you don’t have to ask them to do a thing, but they just do their thing…makes for one easy night! While I have a lot to go through from the session, I did notice these as I was backing up my raw files and had to quick storyboard to show her mom on Facebook:

I seriously love everything about these! I love my faux brick wall, the wood floor, the tutu and headband…and especially the “attitude” – way adorable!

More from this session next week!

The Boudoir Marathon | Update

I’m pretty wiped out. It was a long weekend with so much of me shooting. I’m now doing what I love and that’s editing and proofing images. This always makes me happy. Lots of emails to catch up too. It’s all good. I’m starting to visualize how my work week schedules and processes should be before it gets busy again this summer. These are the things that make me smile and drive me to wanting to do so much more.

This Saturday, I teamed up with the ever adorable, Elisabeth Cutshall – Makeup Extraordinaire! – and we did three boudoir shoots. We LOVED IT! It was a great learning experience when you try to figure out the best way to schedule these and not let our creative minds take over and take longer than we should. We are starting to prepare for our Christmas Boudoir Marathon and it will happen some time in the Fall. Keep watching for dates. We won’t schedule more than five ladies in one day, so spots will be limited if you’re interested!

I captured some images of Elisabeth putting on makeup on our clients. There may be some sneaks of the boudoir images to come later. Our clients have to give permission for this to be on the blog and tell us which image they don’t mind. We keep this very private for them so they always remain comfortable with the nature of their images. Go check out Elisabeth’s new website too!

The Martin’s

I love love love my friend, Maura and her family. Her hubs, Chris wanted to do a photo session with his mom and dad and the girls. So, we all headed out to Faust Park – one of my favorite locations! Chris’ dad is a clown for parties and does balloon animals, so we had to incorporate a few of the fun in some of the shots too. Me and my assistant decided that we want a Poppy just like him!

I think this family photo with the clown noses is the best!

I love that she’s give in to letting me take her pictures now. She is so cute that you could just eat her!

I think I was getting bunny ears here and didn’t know it.

A family shot was a must on the fence. This fence at sunset is sooooo pretty of a location.

Maura is so good to me. She refers a lot of business to me and is always game to my ideas. Maura, looking forward to trying to get some of the girls in the Wellies! :)

St. Louis Wedding Photographer | Conservatory Wedding Part 2

More from the wedding at the Conservatory in historic St. Charles, MO with photographer, Rebekah Wright. Capturing the candid moments are some of my favorite things to do…that and the details. There were some amazing nooks and crannies in this location and we all fell in love with the brick floors with moss growing from the edges. Beautiful. Here is Part 2 of images taken from that day.
