Dave & Allison Get Married | Part 1 St. Louis Wedding Photographer

I mentioned last week about my trip out to Delaware, Ohio – north of Columbus – where I shot a wedding with my dear friend, Megan Morgan. Her cousin, Allison, married Dave. The night before, we thought we were going to have THE perfect weather. High of about 82. No rain. Then, Saturday morning, we woke up to rain! All day and just showers here and there. No real way to tell if it would end, or if we’d have to move things indoors. The plans to shoot before the wedding with the bridal party at the Arboretum were up in the air. But, then, a break came and we scurried out! We got so lucky. Because, on the way back in to the Yacht Club, it starting pouring. No worries…it let up in time for the beautiful outdoor ceremony.

Here is part one of Allison & Dave’s wedding that I shot with Megan. Gorgeous bride!

Allison & Dave Got Married | Sneak Peek St. Louis Wedding Photographer

A couple of weekends ago, I drove all the way to Delaware, Ohio with the company of my mom and my aunt. It’s actually not a bad drive. It’s pretty much a straight shot on I-70. Can’t complain. But, my mission was to help out an amazing friend that I met a couple of years ago through a photography community. Megan Morgan is a brilliant photographer and her style and personality are so addictive. I just adore her. In December, I attended a gathering at her studio and she mentioned the wedding of her cousin, Allison. I said to her that I was hoping to second shoot more weddings and she made me the offer. After all, she was going to be “IN” the wedding, but also the photographer. I can’t imagine what sort of pressure that puts on you. But, I agreed to do the main shooting during the ceremony and helping cover all the other bases with her.

We drove about an hour east of Delaware to a little town with a Yacht Club and Arboretum and there, we braved the rain for the day! I’ve been pretty busy with my own work, so I’ve really just started working on these images for myself. It is such a blessing to have people like Megan in my life that let me participate in big days like this. Her family is so adorable and kind. They made me feel very welcome. I wish I could shoot with her more. Thanks, Megan!

Here’s a sneak peek of one of the images from the day – taken at the Arboretum before the ceremony.

St. Louis Wedding Photographer | Conservatory Wedding Part 1

I truly am blessed to have been invited to second shoot a wedding with Rebekah Wright. The wedding was at the Conservatory in historic St. Charles and it was very quaint, and cosy. If you’re looking for a garden style wedding but can’t stand the humidity (or even the cold for that matter) it’s the perfect location. The couple, Christina and Michael really were the perfect couple. I don’t mean that in the way of “love” but of course that would be the case too. I mean that they were so fun and willing to let us be creative with their photos on their wedding day. They arranged for 2.5 hours between the ceremony and reception, so Rebekah and I hopped into the limo with the new Mrs. and Mr. and proceeded to invade historic Main Street. I can’t wait to share more photos from this day. Here’s part 1 of their wedding for you to oooh and ahh over.
