The Shirt Off My Back!

So, here’s a little design/news update for you.

First off, I wanted to share with you, this:

hm-pis-t-shirt-elegantbride-apreview

I designed these t-shirts so I could get them printed to give to new bride and grooms that sign a contract with me for weddings. Now, I have to get Jake to get them printed! I figured, they are just too cute to NOT share with other photographers, so you can purchase the designs at Pink Ink Studios for $60. You get both the .PSD and a Vector file in .AI to use. My store at Pink Ink Studios lately has mostly the things I design for my own studio use.

And, because it’s been mostly photography-related designs, I failed myself to keep up with my commitments in the digital scrapbooking world. So, I am no longer creating anything new for sale at Two Peas in a Bucket (I am still waiting on a response for if my stuff stays there or gets removed or what – so sorry for the vagueness, I just don’t have any answers!). I enjoyed designing for their audience, but as I mentioned before, my time just goes towards my photography business. I hate saying I’ll retire, so I won’t. I won’t say “never”. In fact, I am pretty sure you’ll see me working on future projects and maybe giving away a few things here and there. Life and times are just evolving.

I hope to get some more new designs up at Pink Ink Studios as I complete them for the business. Things like Grad Announcements and Save the Dates (other wedding related products for my clients too). SMOOCHIES!

Nate & Carrie Got Engaged Part 2 | St. Louis Wedding Photographer

As I mentioned yesterday, we had a LOT of photos from our 10 to 3 p.m. shoot! Long day, tired and hot, but not awful. Adorable couple Nate & Carrie are. These are the last of the images that I favorited. Sometimes, it’s just hard to stop picking favorites!

Nate & Carrie Got Engaged Part 1 | St. Louis Wedding Photographer

My amazingly new shooting assistant, Hollie, a.k.a. Ethel, is lucky to soon be calling Carrie her sister-in-law. She invited me to come with her on an engagement shoot with her. We started early at about 10 a.m., broke for lunch and then ended about 3 p.m. An all-day shoot! So, I have two days worth of favs to show you. We walked all around Soulard with them, starting out at the bar Carrie works at and where the two met. Such a sweet couple. They plan to get married in Florida and celebrate when they get back to St. Louis with their family and friends. I’m in love with Soulard for shooting. So many amazing areas, so perfect for these two. Thanks, Ethel for letting me join you!

Dave & Allison Get Married | Part 2 St. Louis Wedding Photographer

I wanted to say before I start this post…if you ever comment and ask a question in the blog, just come back to the comments and I should have replies within the comments sections for you! I think it might be easier that way for me to keep track of responding!

Okay, now, onto part 2 of Allison & Dave’s wedding at the Yacht Club in Ohio!

During the ceremony, there was a rainbow! Wonder how much that one set them back? LOL Such a beautiful thing!

As we played with some of the kids, I saw this sign…I LOVE IT! Time to make a tile necklace with it, don’t ya think?

A bit of wedding ring overload, but I LOVE breaking out my 100mm f2.8 macro lens on rings! :)

The reception started off outdoors, but it got really chilly and wet out there so it moved in after a bit. I really wish I could have captured more of the guests dancing outside with the gorgeous lights!

Here, the kids were being taught the Cha-Cha Slide by one of the staff members.

It really was a pretty location and I was so thrilled to be able to shoot this wedding with Megan. Hope you enjoyed!

Dave & Allison Get Married | Part 1 St. Louis Wedding Photographer

I mentioned last week about my trip out to Delaware, Ohio – north of Columbus – where I shot a wedding with my dear friend, Megan Morgan. Her cousin, Allison, married Dave. The night before, we thought we were going to have THE perfect weather. High of about 82. No rain. Then, Saturday morning, we woke up to rain! All day and just showers here and there. No real way to tell if it would end, or if we’d have to move things indoors. The plans to shoot before the wedding with the bridal party at the Arboretum were up in the air. But, then, a break came and we scurried out! We got so lucky. Because, on the way back in to the Yacht Club, it starting pouring. No worries…it let up in time for the beautiful outdoor ceremony.

Here is part one of Allison & Dave’s wedding that I shot with Megan. Gorgeous bride!
