Three Little Boys
Fun, cute, adorable, rambunctious, and entertaining! It would be how I would describe them. All three, brothers. We headed up to the Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood and let them run free, climbing and playing. It was terribly cold and windy, but they were all troopers. Here are a few of my favs:
You’ve gotta love that sunflare! It’s perfect!
And, enjoy a slideshow from the session:
Twilight Review
So, yeah, I’m one of those people.
I jumped on that bandwagon too.
Had to see the flick, will go again probably with mom.

My thoughts?
The book was better to me. Only because it allowed me to use my own imagination. I think there were a lot of details left out and too much wasted time in the film. You know, the goo-goo eyes and that sort of thing. Some of it was a little silly. Like the people playing the parts of Carlisle and Esme, as well as Charlie just seemed too young for the parts. I spent more time trying to figure out what else they played in. And, well, other than that, I was happy that they updated the film a bit - including cell phones, etc.
All-in-all, it wasn’t bad. I am glad to hear that the next book will be on film soon too. Hopefully they will take some of the feedback and make that one better.
Here’s Michelle waiting in line - not that the theater was crowded at all! Screaming girls though - yikes!

We had been at a Blogger’s Guild meeting and a wine tasting before all this. Long day!
There’s my 100 Days of Moo shot from the theater.
And finally, yes, Edward was dreamy!

So, if you’ve read the books, sure, go see the flick. Michelle hadn’t read the books, but I hear she rushed out to get them after watching (and wondering based upon the ending).
Go when the kids are in school - less tweens!
The Crazy Life
It’s been one of those weekends…on the go, lots.
I dropped Baby Mac off at the Apple store to find out it’s just the backlight out, not the video card. The beautiful thing is that I am getting it done, and the last job done will be REFUNDED! Sa-WEET! Gotta love the service from Apple. It is so worth it when you are debating over spending the extra money for their products. I think it will be ready on Monday since they had to order the part (a whole new monitor portion).
After that, I had dinner with the lovely Maura! We ate at JBucks in the lower level at the mall and drank wine, chatted and laughed. Love that girl! I didn’t take a good picture after looking at my camera, but here’s one she took with her cell. Hello evil, red eyes!

My hair really went flat. Ugh.
The next day, I attended a psychic party with Maura and it was a riot. The things this woman told me were pretty funny, and some hitting on the money. I won’t go into sharing them, but I know you have to go into these things laughing and knowing it’s really just entertainment. We have the power to make what happens to us happen just by staying on that thought pattern and positivity.
I also totally missed that there was a St. Louis photographer’s meetup and got the message about 30 minutes before it was starting. So, I drug my butt out to Schlafley’s Bottleworks for a bit. Raquita was there which was nice to see her again. I feel like I don’t get to see her enough. Making some new contacts and getting to know some other photographers is such a good thing for me. Hopefully can make me get out there and explore my city more. Here’s my daily photo from last night:

My point and shoot does a pretty okay job.
And, finally, today, I had lunch with one of my Twitter friends, Michele. I FINALLY went to the Royale down in south city and was excited to try something new. Love it. Loved the talk with Michele and getting to know her better. Plus, laughing at things like some guy’s plumber’s crack hanging out. She tried to get a picture but there was a pole in the way. I love that my friends are goofy and immature like me.
Outside, I snapped a shot of their sign with the famous Obama paintings on the side of the building. That Powershot rocks!

I’m pretty much exhausted now. I keep telling myself I need to get on these last session edits, but think I need to just slow down tonight. Yeah, gonna try that. Unless my ADHD kicks in and I can’t focus on relaxing. Yeah, I have to focus to relax.
Don’t Give Up on Me!
It’s been kind of crazy with everything going on and I just haven’t been motivated to sit down and write a real blog post about life and everything. Figured, I’d better jump in here and say hello and update you.
I have been busy with dog shoots and have another one to get edited from earlier this week. What a cutie that Maggie is! Stay tuned for images from that session soon.
As I mentioned earlier, I attended the New Kids on the Block concert with Kristie Grote (that’s little Megan’s mama) and her friend, Stacy. We had so much fun. We laughed so hard about how silly we used to be over them and when they would hit the high notes or make a certain move we screamed and then busted our guts laughing at ourselves. The audience was just 15 years older really. I purchased a new Canon Powershot camera just before the show because a) I really wanted a smaller, point and shoot camera, and b) I needed memories of this event and couldn’t take in my dslr. Here’s my favorite from the night:

I can tell you this…I am getting old when the next morning I’m too tired to even think straight.
I’ve been working on some projects in the digital scrapbook world that should be out next month. Soon, I’ll have a new digital kit in my store that you can check out, but I’ll save that for another post closer to the time.
I do have a new postcard template up at Pink Ink Studios for photographers gearing up to do some rebranding or marketing soon.

We took our family Christmas photos this past weekend too. Here’s the shots I think we’re going to use:

Now to design the Christmas card!
The past few days, Baby Mac has been acting up again. As you may recall, before I left for RT’08 last month, the video card died. I took it in and they sent it off to be replaced. Now, when it goes into sleep mode or sometimes powers off, the video doesn’t want to come back. Well, it does, but it’s probably like a 90% grey so much that you can barely even see what’s on the screen. This pisses me off. For a while it would come back on once it warmed up after about 10 minutes, but now nothing. So, I have an appointment at the Genius Bar at Apple today. I’m not too happy about that hardware failure! I use it for all my iChats and well, can’t do that. I did order a new webcam and some speakers for Mac Lovin’ so at least I can use that feature on here when I have to. Hopefully the laptop can be fixed at no cost to me. Don’t they gaurantee that replacement?
After I drop that off on the upper level at West County mall, I will head downstairs to meet my good friend, Maura for dinner and drinks at J. Bucks. Looking forward to that.
Finally, come check out my 100 Days of Moo (you) project - where we take a photo representing ourselves in some way and will print them out on Moo cards after 100 are done. I’m actually keeping up with this!
Alright, time to get busy again today. Lots going on all weekend!
