This weekend, I had the chance to meet up with my past clients to get new photos done this year. It was FINALLY a day with sunshine. But, not without a bitter bite of cold. A bit of a challenge when we first started out at Laumeier Sculpture Park (which I love) so we headed back over to the family home in Kirkwood. They have a great home with furniture that I’d die to have in my studio (you know me and my antique addiction). And, who wouldn’t love that treehouse? We may try a shoot again when everyone’s feeling better if weather permits before the holiday deadline. Being outside today made me long to hurry up and get to Phoenix next week!
One thing I enjoy from my sessions is my style of capturing people in the moment. With kids especially, this is true. The image of the three boys sitting on the steps, doing their own thing. It tells a story and expresses their personalities. You know that one isn’t feeling well, but this is the moment. This is their moment. I love that. No matter how challenging it can be.
It was a nice change from Main Street St. Charles. Who wants to book a session in Laumeier? My brother and I are off to go shoot the sculptures there in a few!
