Q&A & a Road Trip!

I’m heading on a road trip this weekend to Ohio:

Yes, eight, long hours in the car – but hey, at least I’ll get there, right? I’m second-shooting a wedding with my adorable friend, Megan Morgan. Remember these photos?

Engagement Session

Back in December, Megan’s cousin and her fiance posed for our weekend shootout that Megan hosted. Now, it’s time for their wedding. I’m excited. We’re supposed to have like a high of 79 degrees on Saturday – THANK YOU JESUS! After this past Saturday’s hot and humid day of shooting a wedding, I welcome the relief!

Anyway, since I’ll be gone and not posting on the blog probably till Monday – because I have TONS of sneak peeks to start sharing with you – I figured it’s a great opportunity to do a little Q&A. That is if you want to. No pressure. You can ask me anything about photography, design, scrapbooking, my business, the dogs, whatever. I’m here to answer! Just comment in the comment section of this post and I’ll get to them when I get back in town. Have a great weekend!

July 17, 2009 - 7:47 am Carrie - You are going to have so much fun and I am so jealous of Megan and of the weather you're supposed to have!

July 17, 2009 - 8:09 am Becky - When you first started out, how did you find people to shoot ... just for practice? I moved 4 hours away from family and friends, so i'm wanting to practice more, but don't really know anyone? (have fun at your wedding!)

July 17, 2009 - 1:51 pm cindy b - Hi Holly! We have mutual friends (Terrill and Michelle) and I've emailed you before. ;-) I have just a few questions for you. A friend of mine wants me to take her nephews Senior pics but he is looking for more of an "urban type" backgrounds and such (even grafitti). He does not want the typical outdoorsy type pics which is PERFECTLY fine with me as I am up for anything different and fun. My question is - can you suggest some locations in St.Louis for this type of portrait? Since I live in New Haven I am not familiar with downtown St.Louis at all (I can get myself to the Cardinal game and Botanical Gardens and the Zoo) but that's about it. Also, I think I am the LAST person on earth to still use a film camera. I LOVE my Canon and yes I know the possibilities with a digital but wouldn't I need a really good computer to upload images and do editing?? That is something I don't have the funds for IF (and that's an IF) I get a digital. Thank you SO much HOLLY!!!!

July 17, 2009 - 6:40 pm erink - Do you ever teach digital classes in the St Louis area? Scrapping or PSE?
