All I can say is, WOW! What a fun, and happy couple! We met up at Faust Park in Chesterfield to shoot their e-session and it ended up being a lot of fun. This couple really laughs a lot and I think that’s important. Poor Jarrett, we had to pick on him a few times for things we’ll just not mention here, but all-in-all, he was a GREAT sport! I really loved this location and the lighting was so pretty.

I’m working on a project for Stray Rescue of St. Louis’ annual art auction event. My intention is to sell this to anyone as well as donate back to the organization. It’s a great organization, and if you are not from St. Louis, you should read the story of Quentin, the Miracle Dog.

These are a few of the shots I got that I quickly processed this morning. It’s been a very busy week and I have another event to photograph today. I think I need a week’s vacation, don’t you?

I’ll be sure to share more when I get the project complete for this event.

I got to use my studio! Though it’s not really completely ready, I was excited to hear that Mia had arrived and was ready to have her photo taken. It’s a challenge doing newborns, but I’m up for it and learn each time. Mia was my newborn model from the call a few weeks back. She was a little fussy at first until she got another feeding. And, her belly button hasn’t fallen off yet, so we didn’t get too many of the poses I would have liked with her on her belly. She let us know that wasn’t too comfortable for her. But, she was so tiny and so sweet.

As part of this project, I decided to try a new album company, The Dream Album. I have ordered these spreads below in a 6 x 6 size with a CD option to hold the digital files. If it all turns out nicely, it will be something I’ll add to my packages. This is a sample of one of their 6 x 6 with CD option. I love shooting with albums in mind…telling the story rather than posed shots.

If you haven’t been able to tell from my Twitter & Facebook posts, I am officially opening an office suite/studio space. My space isn’t huge, but it’s perfect for where I am in my business. I can accomodate headshots, newborns, small children, etc. Nothing too big or fancy. But, the beauty is having a main room for viewing proofs and in-order slideshows/ordering – as well as a place to meet my clients in privacy. My building is located in Westport and is coming along nicely! It will be officially ready to use in May.

As a part of running my studio space, I’m going to be introducing “Headshot Thursdays.”

From noon to 3 p.m. on Thursdays, you can schedule to have your headshot taken at my studio for just $25 ($125 value if you book a regular session). You will receive your image in digital format in both color and black and white. It will be emailed to you within one week of your studio session. This is perfect to stay updated with your blogs, social media sites, business cards, etc. Headshots are taken with studio lighting and neutral backdrop. You are given a print release as well.

The first official Headshot Thursday will be May 7th. Please complete the Portrait Contact form here to be put on the schedule. Payments accepted are checks or PayPal/Credit Cards in advance. You will be asked to sign a contract online prior to your shoot.
