Tears of Joy

Who knows if this is real or not, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t tug at my heart strings. Crying like a baby here! I’m a sucker though for animals and joyous reunions.

My Day is Thrown Off

I was up at 4:30 a.m.

Yes, 4:30 a.m.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I caught the very early Today Show - whatever that is.

Got up and started working. By 10:00 a.m. I was starving for lunch. I pushed it off as far as I could. Finally, I crashed with a nap around 2:00 p.m. or so.

That’s what I get for not taking a PM last night. I have major sleeping issues. I just can’t sleep well, through the night. Too many things I can’t turn off.

So, now I’m back up, answering some emails and finishing up a few things. One of those was answering where my pink chair came from. That would be here at IKEA! Steal huh?

My other favorite puchase for the studio/office is this:

It’s a wall decal - in pieces! So, you can actually build the branch however you want! I already had these curtain panels in my cart to go with my brown walls, so I chose the branch in green. Going to put it on the wall under my window and up around the top too!

I knew you’d like that!!! Of course, the pink chair doesn’t match in here, but I don’t care! HA HA

Okies, here’s pictures I took at CHA while away this weekend:

This Makes it All Worth it!

As I am pushing along on deadlines and crunches, I get this in my email inbox tonight:

Thanks to Michelle for sending this. Her sweet note about how much she loved our booth and the products that she had to scrap it when she got home from CHA. Awesome. This makes it all worth it!!!

Pink Yummy

My new favorite purchase sitting in my studio:

Home

The best part of any trip whether it business or pleasure, is coming home. It’s always nice to get away and hang with friends, share our commonalities, have good food and drinks, etc. But, nothing beats that last stretch and crossing your front door - greeted by wagging hineys!

We only live about five hours from Chicago, so of course we drove. Which meant that our trip to Ikea lasted quite a bit longer than we probably thought it would. Yes, that means lots of purchases! We got in about 7:30 p.m. last night. I put my new down comforter on my bed and cuddled with my babies.

My attempts to load images from my phone didn’t work while there. It wouldn’t connect in the convention center. Ping FM wasn’t working either - so it was never updating anything except maybe Twitter. I just gave up! I have a million photos from the booth of the projects, hopefully they came out okay. I haven’t looked at them all. And, I have images from our trip down to Navy Pier. We enjoyed that a lot and I got to hang out with Tara Sroka and her husband for margaritas. It was so hot down there, but was fun to do. I think my feet hurt LESS from walking around than standing on that hard convention center flooring for two days. Go figure, right? We lucked out and got no rain and the images of the ferris wheel and water are fun.

Now, I am here on Tuesday, back in my office trying to catch up. I have so much to do, and have been working on two cups of my yummy Guatamalen coffee that Amy had sent me. So, if I owe you an email, please be patient with me!

Oh - and a quick shout out to my new best friend, Becks!!! We met on the “lift” as she calls it in England. That’s the elevator here! LOL
