Okay, maybe not as “professional” but it’s mine!
Remember, I began painting my bedroom a chocolate color? Done. Remember, I wanted to paint the concrete after ripping up the carpet in the bedroom? Well, went with awesome vinyl tile flooring instead (avoiding the chemical process because of animals in the house). Done. Was going to wait till the fall to finish up the trim work…picked it up at Lowes and installed it anyway.
Now…Office/Studio and Bedroom have done a switcheroo!!!!
The major furniture is now moved and my office gear (a.k.a. computer equipment) is hooked back up and tv and tivo are back and running in the bedroom. The “pink” room is now my bedroom. There is still a ton of crap everywhere to be organized and put away, but at least I can function and do my work tomorrow. I have a few things I MUST do and then I am going to spend about two hours every day going through my art stuff and putting things away. I need to sort out my photo studio gear and put what can tolerate the heat out in the garage. The rest to be neatly stored in the closet.
Here are some “in” progress pictures. You can see the chocolate brown paint and the new floor…and of course, the mess that comes with it to be cleaned and organized. Hey, I feel pretty damned accomplished this week!
Hopefully I can find some swell bookcases for the two sides of my Pottery Barn knockoff table I built last year at IKEA while in Chicago. And, we can FINALLY keep the sewing machine up too!
Then, we have the Shabby Chic bedroom. That craft storage unit over in the corner is going to be ditched. I’ve also since moved into that right corner my armoire for my tv that will be dry-brushed with white for a shabby feel. YES!
Now, I’m ready for a nice dinner with my family.
