Friday Randomness

As I type this post a million things are going through my head so I figure, there is no “real” topic to this post.

Lately, I’ve been inspired and finding a lot of locals using Twitter. It’s been enlightening, entertaining, informative and so much more. It’s prompted me to join the St. Louis Blogger’s Guild - just have to send in my dues now. What a great way for not only everyone to come together and meet, but also to work together to protect the rights of bloggers and more. I’ve started a “St. Louis” links up there at the top of the blog and am slowly adding some of these bloggers. I need to really go in and add more great links I find to other parts of the blogroll too. Time.

The Daily Morning Daisy - is this silly? Yesterday, I looked at Daisy as I was waking up and then decided to grab my phone and take a picture. With the iPhone there is an application called, iFlickr and you an just load directly to your Flickr account. So, I did it again this morning. Trying to decide if this should just be another time-wasting morning ritual? Thoughts?

The dogs got their nails trimmed yesterday by me - but thanks to my cheapness I bought a shotty nail trimmer. Now I know why some of those things are in the $20 range. What a waste!

Andie sent me some Community Coffee and I must admit that it isn’t too bad. I have not seen it in St. Louis - anyone? Anyone?

I’ve been drowning in Pink Paislee Summer CHA release designs. We had a slight setback on one item but I think we’re back now it’s crunch time. Lately, I’m either designing or Twittering. Twittering is a nice time waster when you’re uploading files or saving the large ones. My memory came so I am running off 4GB but I could do with a faster processor. Anyone have about $5,000 for me to move up in the MAC world?

Speaking of CHA, I’d like to do a morning headshot session if anyone is still interested. If you’re attending, and want this, please email me and I’ll give you details.

I also saw this necklace on Poppytalk’s shop. It’s pretty, right? I love it!

We have commitments this weekend - relatives in town tonight, Dan’s party tomorrow. I have a million things to wrap up so I guess I better do them if I want to make any of those events.

Dino-Mite

Danielle did it again! That girl and her clever cards and such. If I need invites made, I will have to hire her for sure.

Anyhoo…you may recognize the dinosaur. It was part of the Vintage Pop stamps I had created for Pink Sugar Pop. Rebecca wanted to bring these on when I made the deal with her to be her designer at Pink Paislee, LLC. So, we put the cute Vintage Pop designs into a smaller grouping. LOVE! :) Glad they have new life over there now.

Let’s see…you will also find that she’s using my lovely Office Lingo papers, my Vintage Pop Alphas stamps, the fun star stamps and my signature Holly Doodle alphabet stickers. CUTE CUTE CUTE!

So, if you’re local and want Pink Paislee products you can find them at For Keeps Sakes on Lemay Ferry. Or, order online by visiting our website and using the locater tool.

Why Can’t I?

I have this issue with myself when I can’t “do” something I set out to do. I’m really my own worst enemy - very hard on myself. I want to try and figure things out and I get nowhere. NO. WHERE.

It’s frustrating to me.

I realize that I just have to stop and not take on projects I can’t do for others. When it’s for me it’s fine. I can fart around with stuff, tinker with that. I have no worries. I say “yes” too easily. It’s a downfall. I feel bad and agree to do projects for others that request me.

The guilt. The revenue I could be making! GRRR

It’s been an all-around frustrating few days.

In good news, my desk is clean - working on the bathroom too. Gotta do something right today.

P.S. - I think I’ll get some new Yankee Candles.

He’s Home! :)

We’re so thrilled that he finally made it to St. Louis today. Such a short while here, but good enough for the moment. We’ll take it.

He was telling us stories and well, let’s say he isn’t safe over there. It’s pretty combative where he is. I guess what we don’t know is better but he’s willing to share. Scary stuff. God please keep him safe when he returns.

There is a party this Saturday so we’re looking forward to that. I know Jake is happy. Poor Andrea has to get on a plane at 6 a.m. tomorrow to head to New York for her grandfather’s funeral. It’s just such a happy and sad time at the same time.

Left to right: Jake (my brother), A.J. (Dan’s little brother), Andrea (Jake’s fiance), Mother (never looking at the camera) and Sarah. Don’t you love that our wreath holders from Christmas are still on the windows? LOL

As I look at the shirts that Jake made - not the best for women to wear - hello, boobs? You know a guy did that.

5 Things

I always seem to forget to do these things when told someone tagged me. I mean no disrespect. Really. You can do it if you want. It’s a good distraction from a busy day.

What was I doing 5 years ago?
2003…hmm, I was still in highschool…almost graduation time…we were talking about grad incessantly at this point…I was still in love with my first tattoo..we were still going to bars/clubs..we were so excited about grad camping and just camping in general. I was actually single for once, and loved it! We were also taking those career quizzes, I remember…trying to distinguish what we wanted to do for the rest of our lives, where to apply to school…etc. I still think it’s absurd to just pick one thing to do forever, and to decide this at 18.
