To iPhone or Not?

March31

Should I? Or shouldn’t I?

I have an opportunity to purchase one. However, my regular cell plan which is a family plan as I have my mother on there can’t be canceled for another year and I don’t want to pay the disconnect fee and buy a second iPhone for her. However, my plan all along was to have two cells - one for business and one for personal. Here I am trying to justify. I have to know - is it that amazing? Do I really want it? And, can I really have Johnny Appleseed calling me?

For a Good Cause

March31

I’m very excited to share my secret project! I came out of the digital woodworks to promote this fundraiser for a 2nd year in a row! Most of you know how much animals mean to me, especially dogs. Last year we raised $2500 and my hopes are that we can raise at least that much this year. We’ll see since I’m out of that digital spotlight. Please help us support the ASPCA again this year.

This year, we kept it quiet and small, working with only a total of seven designers. Nancy Comelab, Emily Merritt, Michelle Coleman, Amy Hutchinson, Amy Wolff, and Shabby Miss Jenn (as well as myself).

For $7.99 you can purchase the full kit, or the premade 12 x 12 album that Kathy Wagner made for us to sell (if you’re not a big digital scrapper). OR, you can go to the FREE page and click on the donation button and make a donation of whatever you like and grab a desktop calendar while you are at it.

This year, we made it a little more versatile so you could use it outside of the “pet” usage realm. We figured it might encourage more people to purchase this time.

Like last year, this is just ONE MONTH of sales - ending on April 30th. All proceeds go to the ASPCA (minus the PayPal fees we lose in transactions of course).  Special thanks to E-Junkie for donating the space and cart option again!

And, if that wasn’t enough, you can download the calendars and a blinkie for free that Dixi Goulden designed for us. Such awesome people! Now, here’s where you can find it!

We’ll try to update our running total each day and when a receipt is received from the ASPCA we will scan it in for you to print off for your donation records.

Thank you again and please spread the word!

Pink Ink Studios

March30

I finally have our new blog set up - the updated Wordpress version and new site theme with a content manager for Pink Ink Studios. This project has grown so much and continues to each day. I’ve met so many amazingly wonderful people through it. Because of the growth we’ve split the site between two domains and are still planning on moving more to a new host and upgrading to our dedicated server. Just taking my sweet time to do it. As most know, my passion is photography and this site has been a way to supplement my income not only by my designs I offer up to photographers, but because of the people I network with in the paid subscriber area. The things I learn from them amaze me every day. It’s truly my passion and while taking pictures isn’t making me much money at the moment, I think as long as I stay involved through this project it will eventually happen. Anyhoo - this is probably where 80% of my work time goes and wanted to share the updates with you. If you subscribe to our blog over there you will need to check the new link and update your feeds.

We have lots of cool new things coming your way there. AND, the even cooler thing about the networking side is that a bunch of photographers there are talking about coming to St. Louis the weekend of the Maroon 5 concert so we can have a photog weekend. Awesomeness!

It’s been super duper rainy and muddy here. My grams didn’t show up like she said she would which I’m sure means she’ll be here next weekend. CKC is next weekend. While I’m not attending CKC, I was hoping to get over there afterwards on Saturday to meet up with other scrappers. I’m not sure what the plans are as of yet. Go figure! LOL Then, after that my next weekend is in Phoenix and I just may not come home! I just need someone to put me up for a few months while I try and make a go of my business there so I can afford to live there. HA! Wishful thinking.

And, finally, watch for something great coming next week. Something I’m really happy to share with you!

Much Love,

I need to update…

March29

…Wordpress. A new release is out so I suppose I should attempt that. Though I always end up screwing something up when I do.

We started painting the dining room area. It’s going to be red and white in the livingroom/dining room. With two small walls painted red and one more half painted. Then, we’re putting up wainscoting up with a ledge for my photos done in black and white with black frames. We saw something similar in a Pottery Barn catalog and well, we all know how I like to make knock-offs of them! Right?

Anyhoo - been working on design projects that I can’t share at the moment but know that it is keeping me super duper busy. We keep getting grey skies and I am so seriously looking forward to blue ones with green grass. I noticed some daffodils coming up today when I was out grabbing lunch. Oh, please don’t tease me!

If you love lens flare, be sure to check out the contest at Pink Ink Studios we’re having!

Alright, later peeps!
