A Final Wish

Okay, so I’m SURE that this is NO WHERE near as funny to you as it was to us. Slap happy I suppose. Anyhoo - a final Christmas wish to have a great holiday.

Merry Christmas to My Aussie and European Friends

santa

It would appear that Santa is currently visiting Africa. He’s been so busy already! He’s hit up Australia, China, and India (Happy Holidays Uma! - even though you all don’t celebrate Christmas). I guess he’ll be making his way over here to the states before we know it. Here’s hoping he’s got clear weather and a not-so-bumpy sleigh ride.

A Christmas Present

I was going to just move along and not say anything, to see how many people actually noticed it. But, thought since it was Christmas that I would post here and just let you know about it. See, when I retired from digital scrapbooking I didn’t tell you I was working with a new scrapbooking company designing their products. I really knew that trying to keep up with digital scrapbook designing and selling just wasn’t going to be manageable. But, I still love doing it when I have the time. In fact, quite a few of my gifts this year were made with digital scrapbooking products I purchased online.

No, nothing old is coming back and no, I am not making exceptions for that either. All old stuff really is retired, unless I can SOME WAY incorporate it into Pink Ink Studios products for professional photographers. Just think of it as Holly just doesn’t have the time to do it all, but still likes to make stuff once in a while.

So, because I often times enjoy putting something together, I figured I’d just give them away. I can’t promise stuff frequently, and I certainly can’t promise that some of that stuff will even stay up very long. I’m using a free hosting site so I only have 100 MB of space without having to pay. I may have to make room if I come up with something new to share.

Now, where do you find this stuff? Well, have you ever noticed those links up above underneath my pictures? One of those says “FREE STUFF”. Just click there. Please please please read the terms of use graphic that is included. You cannot claim my designs as your own and please respect copyright and allow people to download direct from me and not redistribute. I appreciate your cooperation on this.

Now, go see what I put up - and if you’re bored then go check out my site’s homepage here…just the new logo you will see on my designs with Pink Paislee product contributions. And, it isn’t PINK! LOL

I Did It Again

Sorry, yesterday was pretty busy and with my grams in town it means much less computer time and more listening to her. I guess it isn’t really “that” bad because it means that I am away from staring at a monitor. But, it means that I let a Countdown Day go past me. I really am sorta stuck on some things to list, but will try. My widget says we have 1 day left, but really it said like 1 day, 12 hours and some-odd minutes and seconds. I have printed out a bunch of my homemade gift projects. Now, I need to trim them out and put them together. I’ll take pictures and share with you after Christmas since most of the people that they are going to actually read my blog - not sure if they would be before Christmas so better safe than sorry. Though, I’m QUITE unhappy with my printer and the photo output. Ever since I put it on my MAC, the quality of photos is bad. Not the graphics things I do or make, like digital page parts, but actual pictures. I know there settings aren’t the same to adjust as when I had it on my old laptop. And, at $100 a pop to replace all the inks, it’s just making me mad. I probably should research it more. Maybe I’ll switch to something else next year like a Canon. I dunno.

Last night, Jake came over and brought Pirate with him. The dog is like an OX! I can remember when he was just a little puppy. TINY puppy! See?

Pirate

He was actually once smaller than Merlin. But, he’s giant now - and has ZERO grace! LOL Anyhoo - the dog can howl on command. We just have to get him started and he goes. In fact, he’s been doing it since he was probably that size above. It’s certainly funny, but not as cute as when he was just a little pup doing this.

Of course, I’ve been offered to take Pirate, but he’s just too big of a dog for me and too hyper. I love the guy but phew! More than I could ever handle. And, he’d never fit through Merlin’s expensive doggy door!

Okay, so I suppose I could do a Countdown for you guys - but really, I’ll just leave it at a short paragraph - tomorrow, I will try and do something a little special and different. If I can pull it off.

1 Day

So, honestly, I think I just wanted to share with you Tina’s blog. And this post. She really hits the nail on the head about being grateful, thankful, happy, together, and all those things and just enjoying the true meaning of Christmas. My brother said he hated Christmas because it’s become so commercialized. I agree. I’d be PERFECTLY happy doing just homemade gifts from the heart, eating and drinking with my family and friends, and just hanging out together. So, please enjoy your holiday and be sure to take LOTS of photos (that’s your Photography Tip) and share them in your art projects. I really have enjoyed seeing some many amazing projects and decorations. Here are a few to oooh and ahhh over:

These photos are so adorable and full of love. Simple, and not expensive to set up. Really did enjoy these from Nikki.

Michelle’s skull tree is WAY too fun! She is always thinking outside of the box. Love her creativity and am always inspired by her!

Oh, I LOVE this tree too - how clever!

And this layout - I REALLY love seeing layouts about every day life and happenings, feelings, thoughts…so clever!

I adore these tags! Simple, clean!

And, as always, inspired by my friends and contacts on Flickr. Thank you:
