Merlin in Pictures & Countdown

First time embedding a You Tube video on here. I used the new iMovie to do this and it was nice to be able to upload to YouTube.com direct through the program. The quality isn’t “super” but it works.

I’m feeling a little negative to people that cross me wrong – and feel warranted in biting a head off or two. Is that really so wrong? Okay, sorry, had to get that out. Seriously, what makes it okay for a person to attack you but then say they’ll “pray” for you? WTH? Pa-leese! If that’s how your God makes you act, then maybe YOU need praying for!

I’ve been working on designs for Pink Paislee – I’m really so excited about this and am enjoying putting some of my emotions into designing right now. It helps. I think you’re all really going to love this! Rebecca and I have another video conference tomorrow. Hopefully my puffy eyes will be more relaxed! LOL

Okay, so onto my Countdown to Christmas. I skipped a few days and we’re at about 6 days left today. YIKERS.

6 Days

6 Days left – and I have one person to buy something for and three to make something for – yes, make. I said it. I have a craft table full of junk right now that makes that almost seem impossible at the moment. I’ll get there I’m sure.

Product Pick

At this point, the best gift would be to have my sweet baby back, but I know that can’t happen, so for today, I recommend peace. I recommend donating to a favorite charity in honor of someone. I’m going to give to the ASPCA I believe. I did that before when I arranged a large collaboration digital kit effort back in January. We raised $2500 and it felt so great for us to do that. So, pick a charity that means something to you and tell everyone to donate in your name.

Photo Tip

Hmmm, I think I’m running out of ideas for photo tips! YIKES! However, wanted to show you this link to a blog where the lady gives you a tutorial with Photoshop on how to really brighten up photos where you use Christmas lights. It’s pretty swell if you ask me! Click here.

December 19, 2007 - 1:17 am kristina - Oh my, Holly. That video has me in a ball of tears. It's beautiful and I love those sweet photos of Merlin. His eyes are so wonderful and just look so full of love to me. It's so true what they say about "once you start to love, you start to grieve." I hope you are feeling all of these cyber hugs and being comforted by our thoughts and prayers. It's sad that these wonderful pets leave us, but I truly believe they leave us better people. I'm so sorry that someone is being nasty to you. That's so horrible. Mean people suck. Hoping your nose is feeling better and your eyes get less puffy soon. Big hugs again, girl. Hang in there.

I'm so sorry that your baby is gone. My Flash is getting close and I can't imagine our lives without him here. How's your nose? Vaseline usually works for me when my nose is tender. December 19, 2007 - 3:22 am Melinda - Beautiful video- couldn't watch the whole thing as I didn't want to end up in tears again :( been missing my dad with the anniversary of his passing coming up in a week, and then all of the friends who've been losing loved ones the last few days too. It's been getting to me! I wanted to say thanks for the tips and tutorials- great stuff! you reminded me to go get out my second battery and get it charged up, and the light pop tutorial was great too. Thanks! :)

December 19, 2007 - 7:25 pm Tina - I say bite away. Now's not the time to be nasty so tell her where to stick her so called "prayer". I wasn't able to open the video here at work. I'll have to take a peek later today. I don't know you and probably never will but you've been on my mind all week. Is that weird? I've been telling everyone, well, dog people about your loss. It just hits too close to home for me. My "bear" is getting quite old and I'm trying to come to terms about her not being with me forever. I lost my amazon parot a couple of years ago and I don't think I've cried that hard since my mother left us. Well, this is getting to be long. Still thinking about you. Tina

There are so many who may have a good home but aren't truly loved like he was. You two were a match made in heaven and I know this is a really difficult time for you. I have always loved to see Merlin because I am an animal lover and dog owner myself. I so "get it." I have to say that my heart went out to you when I saw your post about Merlin.
