but we will miss the little turd! I did sleep well this morning. Ahhhh

We had some more nasty storms come through on Saturday. My aunt lost power for a little while and it appears more of those in the O’Fallon, Missouri area got it the hardest. Our’s flickered a little, but I managed to take a few pictures of it. I wanted to get some good lightening shots as it was crazy. I only was able to capture one because the rain was blowing at me and getting on my lens.

Storm season is upon us!
Jake and Andrea are on their way to Jefferson City today. Friday, Jake got his test results in the mail for his Missouri EMT test and passed (which he knew from online), so this means he’s passed all his tests! He went to Jeff City to do his background check and licensing application in person. I guess this will speed up the process. I sure hope so. He’s been mopey lately…and has even discovered some places won’t hire him as an EMT until he is 21. Although, he thinks he can get on in the city in the Fall or Spring. Depends on when they open up…he says the city’s EMT class gets done in August so he feels there will be a hire then too. We shall see. I know he hates working at Lowe’s because it isn’t what he wants to do. But he has to realize that he’s just 18 and there is plenty of time in life to work.
I’m frantically working on our PDW newsletter to get that finished up today. Excited! Will go out late tonight. Looks like there is a lot of fun things happening on the first. Gina opened her store today and tomorrow is the DST first Featured Scrapper and new stuff there! Lot’s of fun stuff! I feel so overwhelmed. Me and Kristy were talking how there needs to be a “in the know” blog for digital scrapbooking. Just to keep up with what all is going on! Geez! LOL
I went out to water the plants this morning. Our high is supposed to be 101 today - and it feels that way already. Poor plants and grass. Although the storm the other day was bad for some, we so needed that rain. The backyard was totally brown! Horrible…but now it’s looking better and refreshed.
Well, I have work to do folks…hope you have a great week and talk to you tomorrow!
