The P-Man has left the building

but we will miss the little turd! I did sleep well this morning. Ahhhh

We had some more nasty storms come through on Saturday. My aunt lost power for a little while and it appears more of those in the O’Fallon, Missouri area got it the hardest. Our’s flickered a little, but I managed to take a few pictures of it. I wanted to get some good lightening shots as it was crazy. I only was able to capture one because the rain was blowing at me and getting on my lens.

Storm season is upon us!

Jake and Andrea are on their way to Jefferson City today. Friday, Jake got his test results in the mail for his Missouri EMT test and passed (which he knew from online), so this means he’s passed all his tests! He went to Jeff City to do his background check and licensing application in person. I guess this will speed up the process. I sure hope so. He’s been mopey lately…and has even discovered some places won’t hire him as an EMT until he is 21. Although, he thinks he can get on in the city in the Fall or Spring. Depends on when they open up…he says the city’s EMT class gets done in August so he feels there will be a hire then too. We shall see. I know he hates working at Lowe’s because it isn’t what he wants to do. But he has to realize that he’s just 18 and there is plenty of time in life to work.

I’m frantically working on our PDW newsletter to get that finished up today. Excited! Will go out late tonight. Looks like there is a lot of fun things happening on the first. Gina opened her store today and tomorrow is the DST first Featured Scrapper and new stuff there! Lot’s of fun stuff! I feel so overwhelmed. Me and Kristy were talking how there needs to be a “in the know” blog for digital scrapbooking. Just to keep up with what all is going on! Geez! LOL

I went out to water the plants this morning. Our high is supposed to be 101 today - and it feels that way already. Poor plants and grass. Although the storm the other day was bad for some, we so needed that rain. The backyard was totally brown! Horrible…but now it’s looking better and refreshed.

Well, I have work to do folks…hope you have a great week and talk to you tomorrow!

Top Songs of the Week 7/29/2006

New songs for the week!!! Click the IPOD graphic to the left to listen. Enjoy till next Saturday!

1 - I Wanna Be Rich (Cab Calloway)
I just did this song that was a total one-hit wonder.

2 - Tubthumping (Chumbawumba)
It sure took the world by storm didn’t it?

3 - Gangsta’s Paradise (Coolio)
First off - loved the movie! Jake used to sing this whole song when he was little…he knew the words by heart.

4 - Brim Full of Asha (Corner Shop)
Just because it’s catchy.

5 - Everything Falls Apart (Dog’s Eye View)
I dug this song so much but never heard anything else by these people.

6 - Mr. Big Stuff (Jean Knight)
Classic…makes me wanna dance.

7 - Last Goodbye (Jeff Buckley)
This guy I once knew introduced me to the sounds of Jeff Buckley about five years ago. I fell in LOVE with his music…especially this song. It was perfect as my fiance and I broke up at this time.

8 - Grillz (Nelly)
It makes me laugh…I expect Dan will get grillz here pretty soon…it’s so what he would do.

9 - The Right Stuff (New Kids on the Block)
Did you try to do the dance they did too?

10 - Jump (Kris Kross)
We used to listen to this all the time my first year in college. All the time…we wore it out.

11 - If You Wanna Be My Lover (Spice Girls)
Yes, I was a fan…so shoot me!

See ya next week with more tunage!

One of those days…

God this allergy crap SUCKS! Man, I wake up feeling so worthless! I hate that. Headache, sneezing uncontrollably. What gives?

So, I haven’t started any major work until late this afternoon and am trying to do work tonight that I should have done today. I have my James Blunt playlist going on my iTunes and am cranking away…small breaks cruising the net and answering email. No Hello tonight.

Do you watch the WB at night? Do you get the lineup I get? Sex and the City, Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, South Park, Will & Grace, Malcolm in the Middle? I love Malcolm…the one where the dad is teaching Malcolm to roller skate! LOL Oh good shows. I was King of Queens on DVD at Walmart and so want that too. They never get old to me. I probably won’t be watching those tonight.

Started laundry, didn’t finish - second load is sitting in the wash - going to have to run the fluff on the dryer stuff. Sigh.

Picked up a new bottle of vodka and olives and had a couple cocktails with mom after dinner…missed that. Hadn’t had any vodka in the house.

Excited about a new thing I’ve finished up and who I’ve been working with on it. Hmmm, maybe sometime this weekend?

Since I quit A’s I no longer get that 30% discount, so I bought my Elsie book from Idea Books 4 U. I always resisted there because I couldn’t beat 30% off and no shipping. Katie is damned quick I tell ya. Cute book - LOVE IT!!! I opted not to buy Ali’s new book this past time when I saw it at the store because I just wasn’t wowed by it like I was her first book. Maybe because there was less of her in it this time? I dunno. But Elsie’s…it inspires me with ideas. Things to scrap - ways to do things. Love that.

Okay, I do need to get back to work now. Later
