COLD!

Okay, so somehow I managed to cover my vent in the bedroom and woke up FREEZING this morning. Man!!!! Talk about cold. It’s probably not even that cold outside. I think we’re hitting like 40s and 50s which, while be it cold, isn’t that cold. Sucks to wake up like that.
So, some of you asked about the intitials in Jake’s tattoo. The EEM stands for our dad’s initials (Everett Earl McCaig). Jake has plans to add on to this tattoo at a later date with wings and then adding Amanda’s initials too (our sister). I’m glad his tattoo has meaning. Not just something he picked off the display for the heck of it. Some asked about the drive down there. Well, Dan (Jake’s friend) wanted to get his nipples pierced. Don’t ask! And the piercer wasn’t at the Pain Station on Mondays but no, Dan could not wait till the next day. So, he called around places. He couldn’t just use his notarized paper from his parents (only 17) at this one place. He needed an adult with him. So, I get the “I”ll love you forever if you go with me” line and I sucker up and say okay. Now, mind you I look up on Yahoo Maps and find this place is downtown. And not in a really good area, but didn’t think it would be bad still being it was daylight out. So, we went. We got there very easily and parked, filled the meter and went in. Let’s just say I stood out like a sore thumb. It was so not the burbs! However, out in the county, the tattoo places aren’t so rough. This place was a barber shop/tattoo and piercing parlor. I never in my life have ever been to a place like this. I sat out front while Dan did his thing, gripping my purse tightly. When he’s done…he walks out white as a ghost. He was this close to passing out. Stupid kid!!! I just know that it looked like it hurt like hell. Luckily we got done and on our way just as Jake was starting and got there to watch his tattoo being done. So freakin’ crazy of an evening.
Oh, my cool extra “hands” thingy from Srap A Latte arrived yesterday! I can’t believe how fast. I ordered stuff from Volcano Arts last weekend and stil haven’t got it yet. Talk about fast service. Now to find the time to do stuff with it all.
Alrighty - must get ready for work now!
Jake’s Tattoo

The tattoo…I couldn’t take pictures inside, so I did this once we got home. Don’t even ask about the adventure I made with Dan (Jake’s friend) down into the inner part of the city so he could get piercings! Oh my gosh - why I agree to these things is beyond me. Any hoo…here it is!

Yep, just one more day until the last call for fairy chicks occurs! You have until midnight tomorrow night. On Wednesday I’m going to evaluate those that have come in since my last crack at it. Man, there are WAY too many entries! So, my secret sidekicks are helping me pick with no influence from me at all. We’ll just have to see what the outcome is huh? So, I hope to have that all figured out by Thursday (my day off). Don’t hold me to it! This is going to be so hard.
